April 21, 2017, Langhorne, PA — David Craig Rotenberg, owner of David Craig Jewelers in the Summit Square Shopping Center in Newtown/Langhorne, has been awarded the title of Emeritus Certified Gemologist Appraiser (ECGA) from the American Gem Society (AGS). The title is in recognition of Mr. Rotenberg’s career-long commitment to the jewelry industry, as demonstrated by his numerous leadership positions and awards within the AGS and other gemological societies, including the Gemological Institute of America and the International Society of Appraisers.
Mr. Rotenberg, who has operated his store for more than 40 years, is a Certified Gemologist and Certified Gemologist Appraiser with The American Gem Society and one of only a handful of jewelers in the country who have received the CAPP certification (Certified Appraiser of Personal Property) in Gemstones and Jewelry from the International Society of Appraisers. He also holds a Graduate Gemologist Diploma from the Gemological Institute of America.
Among his many professional memberships, he is a past president of the American GemSociety’s Jewelers Education Foundation, and the founder and past president of its Keystone Guild. He also founded and is the past president of the Delaware Valley chapter of the International Society of Appraisers.
He has received numerous professional awards and recognition throughout his career including the International Society of Appraisers’ Leadership Awardand its Designation and Review Award. Mr. Rotenberg is frequently sought by the media for his expertise in the appraisal and value of fine diamonds and jewelry and he has been featured on numerous broadcast news programs.
Mr. Rotenberg operates a fully accredited state of the art American Gem Society Gem Lab at his retail store and is among a select group of jewelers who comprise the Jewelers Vigilance Committee Appraisal Bar.
