Loving Mom Steps in to Lend a Hand

When Langhorne resident Carol Annucci learned that her son, Michael, was thinking of proposing to his girlfriend, Lauren, Carol was thrilled to offer some family help, even though Michael and Lauren live and work in Colorado.

“We discussed how Michael could use the stones from several diamond rings I had inherited,” explains Carol. “The rings were currently sitting in our safety deposit box. I had previously met with David to inquire about designing a new cushion/halo style ring for Lauren (25) and Michael (32).”

The Creation Story
Carol, the proud mom and future mother-in-law, knew that Lauren liked the idea of a halo setting and that she preferred rose gold. While Michael was visiting from Colorado this past June, mom and son took the heirloom diamond jewelry to David Craig Jewelers. Owner David and jewelry specialist Bela showed the mom and son how they could utilize a larger stone from Carol’s husband’s (Lawrence) mother as the center stone, and six smaller additional diamonds from Carol’s side of the family as part of the new engagement ring.

The custom-designed creation would include eight additional diamonds that David Craig Jewelers would add. The new diamonds were used to surround the center stone to create the special halo effect they knew Lauren would love.

The Design is Completed
“All told, the final ring looks gorgeous, saved them money and became a fabulous way to represent our family legacies,” said Carol.

The couple were engaged August 19th in Colorado. They are currently planning their wedding.

“David Craig Jewelers is absolutely the best place to go to if you want to design an engagement ring,” sums up Carol. “The end result was absolutely stunning, my son thought it was beautiful and Lauren loves it, especially since it contains diamonds from Michael’s family. I would only go to David Craig Jewelers for my fine jewelry —well done David and Bela!”
