Gems and precious metals are gifts of nature, which need special care. Even though a gem may be millions of years old, once mined and worn, it is exposed to conditions and chemicals that can damage it.
The harder the gem, the less vulnerable it is to potential damage. A diamond, for example, is the hardest gem known to man, and that’s one reason why “it is forever.” Continue reading Tips For Care And Cleaning Of Fine Jewelry
“Hook on to something bigger than yourself—for example, a radio station contest or giveaway. This may cost you a few dollars, but the exposure you get in return is worth much more. Plus, your name will be spread all over like peanut butter on bread because newspapers and radio have lots of fans (they’re the original social media!).”
David Craig Jewelers in Newtown is one of only 22 independent jewelers nationwide to have earned the “America’s Best Jewelers 2010” designation. David Rotenberg, known as David Craig is a rare kind of jeweler whose skills at buying, making and authenticating jewelry have drawn the attention of media luminaries
“For the best deals: “Visit a reputable local jeweler,” advises David Craig Rotenberg, president of David Craig Jewelers in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. ”
David Craig Jewelers, in partnership with the Natural Color Diamond Association (NCDIA), announced today the “Pretty in Pink Diamonds” contest.
“Understand What You Have to sell. If it’s a finished piece of jewelry have it appraised by a Certified Gemologist Appraiser to yield the most accurate results. He or she will be able to tell you if you have scrap gold or something finer of greater value.”
“After living in her Newtown home for twenty-five years after her two sons were grown, Debbi Rotenberg finally decided to get a pool. For the dogs. Rotenberg and her husband have five Portuguese Water Dogs. ”
“In our celebrity-obsessed culture, there can be no more powerful marketing initiative for a retail jeweler than establishing a sponsor relationship with a celebrity.”
David Craig Rotenberg of David Craig Jewelers held a private sales event at his store in the Summit Square Shopping Center last night, and will donate ten percent of the evening’s proceeds to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, a cause to which the local jeweler has been long devoted.
“Mr. Rotenberg, who has operated his store for more than 35 years, is a Certified Gemologist and Certified Gemologist Appraiser with The American Gem Society and one of only a handful of jewelers in the country who have received the CAPP certification (Certified Appraiser of Personal Property) in Gemstones and Jewelry from the International Society of Appraisers. He also holds a Graduate Gemologist Diploma from the Gemological Institute of America.”
“Twenty years ago, David Craig was one of the first jewelers in Bucks County to open an American Gem Society-accredited Gem Lab on-site at his retail location.”
